Common Questions

Dental implants can be placed in most adults who have lost most or all of their teeth. But the only way to be sure is to schedule a consultation with the team at Central Texas Implant Center.

Most of our patients experience minimal to no discomfort. The procedure is often completed using local anesthesia, while other patients prefer I.V. sedation to sleep through the process.

You may return to work the next day unless otherwise instructed by Dr. Bhakta. You may be prescribed medication to alleviate any minor discomfort.

Dental implants are designed as an immediate solution, so that you walk out the same day with secure natural-looking teeth.

Initially, you will only use a medicated mouth rinse prescribed by Dr. Bhakta. Once your mouth is healed, you will use a water pick to clean under your new teeth, and of course, you should continue to brush at least twice daily. You should also schedule regular follow-up visits with your general dentist for hygiene cleanings.

Implants can last many years if cared for properly. Many dental implants have been in place for more than 40 years.

Dental implants have an average success rate that exceeds 99%.

Dental implants are low maintenance and provide you with a stable, secure, and confident smile. Therefore, the long-term value of dental implants far exceeds conventional treatment options.

Insurance policies vary, but some cover a portion of the restorative procedure. Financing options are often available with competitive interest rates, and payment plans can be tailored to your budget.

Dental implants provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. With implants, you can rediscover the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh, and enjoy life. Implants are expected to last for a lifetime, don’t decay and won’t affect your surrounding teeth.
