About Full Mouth Dental Implants

New teeth in just one day. Your smile and confidence back for the rest of your life.

If you are missing all your teeth, the trauma can have a devastating impact on your quality of life and your overall happiness. It impacts your self-esteem, your confidence, your social life, your professional success, and even your diet. Traditional solutions such dentures are often poor substitutes for natural teeth. They can lead to reduced chewing capacity, an unbalanced diet, and poor digestion because crunchy vegetables and fruits, and many meats are almost impossible to consume. Bone loss in your jaw may also become a factor in your life, leading to wrinkled lips, a sunken mouth and chin, and make you much older than you feel.

Fortunately, there is a solution. A full arch replacement, commonly referred to as the All-on-4 or Teeth-in-a-Day procedure, is an option for patients who need numerous teeth replaced, or even a whole upper or lower set of teeth. Patients who receive their new prosthetics supported by implants say they immediately feel better, look better, and enjoy a higher quality of life.

Overview Of Full Arch Replacement

A full arch replacement replaces the entire upper or lower set of teeth. The procedure creates a permanent prosthesis by using 4-6 dental implants, which act as an anchor for a bridge or overdenture of typically 12 to 14 teeth. Dental implants can replace damaged and missing teeth and provide a long-term, permanent alternative to dentures.

With a full arch replacement, Dr. Bhakta surgically places 4-6 screws with abutment posts into the jawbone. Your new teeth are then secured to the abutment posts with special prosthetic screws. This procedure typically can be completed in one day and can be performed under local or general anesthesia. Dr. Bhakta will have your transitional teeth created before the procedure, so you can walk out that day with a new smile.

After a healing period to enable the implants to become fully integrated with the bone – the timing of which varies by each patient – we will bring you back to our office for a second, permanent set of high-precision, custom-made teeth that have been individualized just for you.

For decades, dentures were the preferred solution for replacing missing teeth. But technology advancements in prothetic dentistry have turned out to be game changers for people nationwide.

Full arch replacement is considered by implantologists to be the best option available for tooth replacement. In fact, due to their superior value and their lifespan, a full arch replacement saves our patients money and hassles  in the long run.

He is a brief list of the benefits of full arch replacement compared to dentures:

  • Quick results: You’ll have your new smile in as little as a day.
  • Maintain youthful appearance: The dental implant process helps preserve the jawbone and decrease wrinkles caused by missing teeth.
  • Enjoy your favorite foods again: Fresh vegetables, corn, fruits, and even steak are back on the menu.
  • Long-lasting smile: Dental implants are definitive, but can last a lifetime.
  • Live longer: Studies have shown that people who are happier and more social end up live longer lives.

“This journey transformed my professional life and my personal life. I can never put a price on what my new teeth have done for me.”
